would a 5x7" 3-way coaxial speaker work in a transmission line enclosure?
would a 5x7" 3-way coaxial speaker work in a transmission line enclosure?
Its a speaker, so yes it would.
But the question is why? Your not going to get very good sound out of a 5x7 no matter what box its in.

why not try with a 10" or something. IMO it would be pointless to try with a 5x7. I mean its a 5x7 coaxil speaker, it can only sound soo good.

Almost anything will work in a TL, will it work well? Most likely no...unless its a sub or something...

i got alot of scrap mdf just sitting around so why not waste it or should i say invest it in some experence. trial and error. and about the post saying why not a 10" cause i dont have one and its already been done so that would be much of a accomplishment . eather i will figure out i cant do sh1t with a 5x7" or .......more than likely it will be a waste of time. but aleast i will know first hand about 5x7" and tl enclosures. how do you figure out the surface are of a oval (eclispe)?

By all means. Building a TL even for a 5x7 will be a good learning experience. Just don't expect miracles.
