    New sub older box question???

I want to install a new 12"sub in the same box that I had my old sub in. The screw holes do not line up but are within 1/8" of each other and was wondering if I should fill them, put on a baffle board or some other method?
If I should fill them with what product...wood filler?

Thanks any help or suggestions are welcomed.

Filler probably wouldn't hold very good if you are screwing half into filler and half into wood, or close to that. The baffle would probably be the best idea.

You could also do it the ghetto way, turn the sub about an inch clockwise so that none of the old holes come close to the new one, then just drill new holes

Thought of this but the t nut head (10-32 size) will protrude into the cut-out I could possibly cut the portion of the head of the t-nut that protrudes into the opening- good bad idea??? Thought of filling holes with fiberglass resin not sure if this would hold up well though?

Thanks for the thoughts so far
