    quick question about glue and caulk

    hey guys,


    how long after a box is done, glued, and caulked, should i let it dry before putting the speaker in and hooking it up and everything, i was thinking like 4-5 hours, but whats everyone else think



    Car: 1998 Ford Explorer
    Head Unit: Pioneer AVHP5700-DVD, Matching 10" Screen
    Mids & Highs: None (Any Suggestions?)
    Subs: 2 15" Hybrid Juggernauts (Druggnaut 30's)
    Sub Amp: Hifonics BXi2607D
    Electrical: Optima Red Top In Front, Stinger SPV35 In Back, 1/0 Kicker Hyperflex

    145.6 @ 2 Ohms, 51hz
    149.2 @ .5 Ohms, 49hz

    Did you just use glue or did you also use nails/screws. I normally only wait a couple hours but I use screws when building. Most glues do not need a more then a couple hours to setup.

    yellow caulk is for the small holes.
    white caulk is for the medium holes.
    black caulk is for the big holes.

    yeah i used screws, glue, and caulk, so i should wait overnight, that *****

    Yeah, it ***** alright when you put a foam surround woofer into your freshly caulked box and the fumes eat the surround for lunch.

    Just be patient.
