    making cuts at home depot.

I was wandering if I had to draw the lines on mdf boards or just give an employee sizes that I want? Sorry for noob question but I have never done it in home depot.

When i got mine cut at home depot i just gave them a sheet of paper with the cuts i needed and they made the cuts. Just to let you know some of the cuts i got where almost half an inch of so they wont be perfect.

Panel saws arn't perfect for the best of cuts...I own one I usually cut my boards 1/2 inch longer with it now and trim them to proper length with my table saw...another thing with the panel saw your not gonna get angle cuts for a truck style box....

I go to a cabinet shop for my cuts... they have MDF in stock, and they cut with precision machines

Go to one of Ace Hardware's lumber stores if you have one near you. THey have areas dedicated to project cuts. The ones I got were perfect.

Re: making cuts at home depot.

the guy cutting the sheet for me usually told me 25c a cut but when i would go to the register to pay, they normally wouldn't charge for the cuts at all because most of the time no one at the register knew they even charged for cuts..

They give you a sheet sometimes with how many cuts they made and at what price, but the cashier never asks for it. If they ever did, I'd tell them I didn't get a price sheet.
