lol new boxes are the best lol MDF= Medium Density Fiberboard.... HDF = High Density fiberboard... most of ur high end home theater towers are made of HDF they say it cuts down on resonance but i dont know i use it because its half the weight of MDF and stronger then MDF.. the box in the pics is around 11cubes total and its 1" and ALOT of port inside the box it weighs prolly the same if i were to build it out of 3/4 MDF

Are you sure about that (home theater bit)? Most, if not all that I've seen have been of MDF or plywood construction. I know that JBL still even uses particle board.

Lumberyards really are the only place. It isn't nearly as popular as MDF since there really are no advantages to using it versus MDF or Trupan.
