    Sealed or Ported. 1 12" In Single Cab Truck???

    Should I port my box or make it sealed? Im putting one Kole Audio KBW-12 12" Sub, Powered By a Kole Audio KLE-980 980 watt amp in a full size single cab truck.



    1998 Ford F-150 STX
    -5.4 PI Swap

    Current Set Up
    Head Unit: Alpine CDA-9851
    Door Speakers: 682.7CF Kappas
    Sub: MTX Thunder 5500 Series 12
    Sub Amp: Autotek 500.1
    Audio Enhancers Slot Port, Tuned to 40hz.

    If it were my sub/box/vehicle, I would make a ported box.

    I believe thats what Im gonna do, Would sacrificing .10in3 make much of a difference (airspace)? Thanks for the replys

    As in 1/10 of a cubic inch? If so, no not at all.

    Ok Thanks,Just a few more questions, when it says tuned to 35 hz what does this mean, also does port placement matter? I was going to put mine centered in box under sub??
