If the net volume is 2 cu ft then you need a length of 7.45".

    Re: 6"port?

Above 40 hz, yes, below 40 hz, no. It's a trade off, you will gain some and lose some. If you're going after pure SPL than yeah, you will gain more raw SPL at around 50 hz.

    Re: 6"port?

it really depends on the setup and the car bro. U cant just expect someone to throw out a number and expect that ur going to that much instantly.

    It's all on the setup.

depends on his resonant frequency. That will be the best way to tune ur enclosure.

It's all about testing testing testing testing!

It depends on the sub. I'd say about 2dBs, but below tuning you're gonna lose more than that. Peak SPL will go up around 50 hz, but avg SPL across 20-40 hz will drop a few dBs or so.

The subs response will do what I said, what the car does to it afterwards is a different story, but if the sub puts out more at x frequency you will see that in reality, but exactly how much is up to the setup, I agree on that.

Trust me I know about adjusting to your car, the box I'm building tommorow goes against all conventional advice, but I've measured my car's response and I know what I need.
