First off its probably a good idea to always post all info about what your doing.
1. amps ?
2. vehicle ?
3. Sub + voicecoil (Sub ya got but which ones theres two versions Dual 2 ohm and dual 4)Maybe three not sure, just post the ones you have!

Im giving them approcimetly 900 RMS each

Dual 4 l7s
at
1.7 per sub tuned to 36hz

Vehicle is a 2000 s10 ext cab


Im going with a wall subs facing forward where should I put the ports?

Its going to be 4 dual 4. SO wired down to 2 ohms.

the amp is going to be MA Audio hk4000d

i know they can probably handle it just fine on burps.

o and to answer your post.

the higher you tune it, the higher db's your can it.
the lower you tune it the more sq youll have.

that is in most cases.

one more important thing people are going to need, is how much area you have to play with. in cuft. or just W x H x D would work. also i see you said you want them to slam. now does that means you are looking for an spl vehicle, something that just gets the recorded material very acurate and slams, just like it was meant to slam. or some where in the middle?

Im going for something in the middle and yes this is going to be a daily setup.

Hmmm...how do you like your 36Hz tuning...hitting the lows the way you would like or are they not as loud on some lows? 12"s would get you lower and 15"s would get you even lower.

well if you wall them you're going to want no less then 12ft^3 internal after port and driver displacements and about 200 square inches of port area.

I'd say put the port down the middle of the wall so it fires inbetween the driver and front passenger seats.

Make the port 10" wide by 20" tall or any other measurements that = 200 sqin of port area.

The lower you tune the better it sounds and the higher you tune the louder you get but are you trying to get loud to the ear or loud to the mic or maybe loud to the ear and still put up a decent number for 4 10"s?

Your box will usually peak 8-10Hz above the tuning so if you have a box tuned to 36Hz you should be peaking around 44-46Hz give or take.

For comp only I'd say try a tuning of low-High 40's

For daily anwhere between 30-36/38Hz depending on how low/high of bass frequency you want to be hittin'.

I really wish I could go with 4 12's. But I have 2 10 installed and one in my room so really all Iahve to do is buy 1 more 10 and im there. Just a littlke more practicle than saying im goinh with 12's. I dont really like 26 it hits highs real crisp but those lows it jst dont hit em hard. It garbles em or sounds low but just not hitting it. I think im going to go witha 32. So I should go with atleast 12 feet cubed feet. Wow im gonna measure it in the morning im pretty sure I don not have that. But I might. Thank you for your help.
