something ive been thinking about

if you have a sub in say a 2.5 cu ft enclosure, what would happen if you had different lengths and widths of ports? say one was 3" wide, 8" long, the next 2" wide x 8", 3" wide x 5" deep, the next 2" wide, 5" long (round in these examples). Just a hypothetical situation, but how would a box sound like this (tuned to several different hz). Would it act like a ABC box? band pass? flat responce & good SQ? Would it be peaky and loud for SPL, or would it sound like complete garbage?

PS im not thinking about doing this, just want to know what would happen

i dont think it would be tuned to different frequencys, you would just add them all up and get one tuning probably

add them all up and lose the lottery type tuning.

find the area of all together then average the lengths maybe?

It wouldn't be tuned to different frequencies unless you were plugging one or more of the ports.. And 2" ports aren't big enough so you would most likely get wind noise/whistling.. Not a good idea..
