    tuning, whats your tuned to?

whats your box tuned to? just trying to get a general idea of what i need to tune to, i HAD my design ready for 35 hz, but now that imhaving to redesign for various reasons... it would be much easier in my app to tune to around 37, would this be too high for daily? i listen to mostly rap/hip-hop

Re: tuning, whats your tuned to?

ok, i just still wanna be able to hit the lows. my problem is, after redesign, my box is 6.375 after subs displacement, and my port area is 12.5 tall x 7.25 wide... how long would that have to be for 35hz? maybe my math is wrong, but i get 139.1 inches... and with the same numbers to tune to 37 hz, its only about 37.7 inches long, am i doing this wrong?? someone PLEASE PLEASE double check me and help me out

Re: tuning, whats your tuned to?

    mine's tuned to 32Hz

    winisd says you'd only need:
    30.66" for 32Hz
    24.55" for 35Hz
    21.27" for 37Hz

    is that right?

Re: tuning, whats your tuned to?

yeah, i just did it out by hand and got 26" of actual port (for 32Hz)

winisd must automatically add in end correction (1/2 of port diameter added to the actual length)

someone please correct me if i'm wrong

ok, i just did it with bbp and winisd, and i thnk winisd is giving lengths given without taking out the port displacement... like i say, my box is 6.375 cubic feet after sub displacement, before port displacement...
