excluding the that little battery compartment since ill just run my amp from my starter batery

no not really. you probably dont know labor charges at a highend shop.

diy is always cheaper.

if you are talking materials, and not equipment, thyeres probably less than $250dollars invested in that

I saw a similar set up done in my local shop the other day in 2003 Lexus. They charged that guy close to 2,000 bucks for the materials and labor alone
