box for 12w6v2

i am going to purchase a JL 12inch W6V2 subwoofer, and if i was to get a custom PORTED box made for it, it would cost me a good 250$. i posted some other things, and they say that i can make my own box easily. i have never made a box, but am good at making things. i am going to get a ported box, and all i need to know is...
how thick the mdf should be?
the dimensions of the box?
internal space?
and were the port should go?

some of those questions are just personal preference...it doesn't really matter where your port is. The dimensions depend on whats possible in your car. I'll sell you one of my 12w6v2's for $250 + shipping. PM me or email me if you are interested.

i blew my alternator and since i have no money....he had to pay for it. so he says it all has to go.
