My Mountaineer Man Double Shot box build

Well Mountaineer Man did this design for me awhile ago. I just finally got around to doing something with it.

Here is the design. It is his version of the Double Shot.

This is what I cut everthing on.

    The cut pieces

    Putting the port together

The rest of the the construction.

    Back

    Front

    Right Side

    Painted port

I just need to cut the holes for the subs. I might wait untill I can get my hands on a router. I just don't feel like free handing it with my jigsaw.

Looking good my brother. Hurry up and wipe the excess glue while it's wet. Much easier than sanding it later

very nice build quality i wish i had access to a table saw. i don't quite understand the theory behind the double shot, does anyone wish to explain? but over all a very nice looking box. what finish are you going to put on it, carpet?

Well, in a very short summary.A response in car closer to that of a sealed box, but with the output of a ported box (in most cases it'll outdo a "regular" ported box, even if its only by a decibal or two).

And I concur with the others, nice build quality

I might even have a mod. for you that you can do (after the box is built) to adjust the sounds to your taste even further

either way, the box pictured here is far from a "double shot" anyway... its just going to act like a ported box, with alot of port area. Too much port area probably.

I'll have to wait to find out. My deck should be here any day now, and then I will tell ya how it sounds.

You're an idiot, and you cannot comment on these types of boxes anymore, because in this post you have proven to me, that you dno't know jack **** about how snail shells/ double shots work.Trust me, I'm sure I know at least 10x the amount of correct information about these boxes than you I could tell you how they work, but you still would probably be far too stupid to understand most of it.

FYI, It's not "far from" exact same concept. Is it that hard for you to grasp.Or will I have to spell it out in crayons for your retarded self? BTW: Not too much whatsoever

Please just go back to playing with your moms $100 piece of **** station wagon and woofers that YOU can't get loud.

You don't know the first thing about box design. All you know how to do is put parameters into a horn caculator.

To rage, sorry for the dump.I just can't have this fool spreading around rumors.I want to ask you a couple things about when you built it, go ahead and PM me when you get a chance. And if you wish I will erase most of this post.

no use in getting bent out of shape, no reason for anyone here to take his word over yours, we'll see how the guy likes his box, no big deal

very nice looking box, by the way

What is ideal for port area? I've been at this question for a while and my box design permits 122sq. inches of port area for my 4 12" L7s.
