A quick pic of a box I built for an Astrovan

Just an amateur, this is the 2nd ported box I've ever built, and the 1st slot ported box. I need to get a router and a Jasper, I can't cut perfect circles with the jigsaw to save my life. It's 7 cubic ft, tuned to 28hz, with 110 square inches of port.

Looks good for a "amateur". Your on the right path, but Definately in need of bracing.

there are a few methods. you can use 2x4's as beams, some thick wooden dowls, get a piece of mdf and cut out the interior of it. remember to account for displacement of the brace

I would definately brace it also, you could use threaded rod or maybe glue and screw in a 2x2. Somewhere like here \/

it doesn't have to be, but it'll make it sturdier

i would say so. all depends on your ears

I went back and braced it pretty good. He's only running 600 watts to each 15, but it hits pretty hard.
