The air inside the port does not count as air inside the box. You have to calculate the air inside the port as well as the volume occupied by the wood making the wall of the port and subtract that from the internal volume of the enclosure.

I am planning on building a box from my spec sheet which says Vbox=1.75 ft^3 and it shows the port inside of this box. Would I need to add extra room in the ox for the port or does the Vbox include the space needed for the port?
