thats 6th order..A ported box tuned low inside a ported box tuned high and all the sound comes out of this higher side of the box.

a 6th order bandpass is a ported encloure firing into another ported enclosure. the port doesn't fire into the other chamber

What do you mean it's not reccomended. Never seen a 6th order done any other way. Got any pics ?

Not DIY, but how you described it. I would say it's where both sides of the sub fire into a ported enclosure. Is dat be correkt?
