Box mistake?

I got box plans made and built the box but didnt expect the port to be like 2 feet long so now there is only like an inch behind the sub is this ok its a type r so it vents air out the side. Am i ****ed

No you are fine, as you said the sub vents out the side, an inch is more than adequate clearance.

Hardly at all...instead of displacing .128ft^3 it'd displace .1ft^3 adding .028 to your net volume...hardly a change in tuning...take those numbers with a grain of salt though.

i agree, only reason for a ring in your case is if it was actually touching the port wall but one inch away you ain't got to worry, since it vents through the sides.

its actuaally only like 1/4 inch off but not touching is that still alright
