ok so i have my 2.5cuft box tuned to 33 Hz assembled minus the hole for the sub i know the port is going back, the original plan was sub up port back, but now i'm debating i need some input

i think someone did a study about sub placement and came up with the sub and port both facing back are loudest.

Wow this is going to be good.As for me, I had a honda hatchback and I got the best sound with the sub up and the port back.
