12" xxx box design

I was looking at RE's website and they have a two different single ported box designs. Are these pretty much the best design for those subs? I'm getting one 12" re xxx and its going in my mustang so I cant go real big and I was just wondering if the one tuned to 35hz would be a good setup for it. 1200-1500 watts on it.

what kind of sound are you wanting? spl/sq? for sq you want the lower tuned box.

When I had my XXX I liked it tuned around 31-33 only..

but is just me..

loud but sound good. Whatever that is spl or sq (Imma newb) Just going to be in a daily driven mustang with small *** trunk mostly listening to rap when its going to be loud.

i had mine tuned to 32 and i liked it very much so. Just make sure your buy some deadening.

RE recommends 2.1 CuFt @ 28hz.... Anyone experience this setup? how is it in terms of SQ and SPL?
