I wonder how it will sound lol...My biggest worry is the places where i couldn't caulk the port....because of the order i put the pieces in. Yah it's not quite "flakko" caliber work or anything. (lol i need to find that pic for comparision...to make myself feel better)

You also can't see the 2-3 places where i cracked the inside of the board by getting to phat of screws to close to the end....those souldn't affect too much though cause they are all up against joints which are sealed fairly well.

thats not too terrible...Ive seen alot worse. (flakko...j/k man I lub joo) but box building is a trial and error process, it takes a long time to get great at building boxes. But just remember this...instead of going out and buying a prefab like most people do...you took the initiative and built your own.

Yea man, you did the research and put the time and effort in to get the best results. That seperates you from the n00bx who will just buy a pre-faband call it a day. And dude, my first was way worse and it was a sealed box. I was off like a 1/4" on all my cuts and ended up concealing the ****-pile it was with carpet, lol.

It's not that bad. I've seen worse first attempts for sure. My first suggestion is this. If you must make your circles with a Jig Saw. Go reeeeeeaallly slooooow. Don't force it and get off course like you did in a few spots. Great circles can be done with a jig. I do them all the time. You just have to let the saw cut by itself while you just continually keep a guid on your line.

Haha thats definatly the best way to "fix" the problem.

Yah i wasn't terribly dissapointed for my first box...The thing that bothered me the worst was the cracking the mdf with the screws...it was pretty stupid...wrong screws and should've went out and got a counter-sink bit instead of trying to do it with a regualr bit....

My circle was extremly nice/good and circular to start with...but it was slightly too small so i just kept widening it by sight withought marking anything out lol...doesn't really bother me cause i'll never see that part

After I got done cutting I didnt know what to expect when it came to screwing it together. so I just grabbed scrap pieces, pre drilled with 3/32" or 1/8" bit screwing them together with different screw lengths and different distances from the edge seeing when it split. It finally came down to 1.5" coarse thread drywall screws about 1.5" away from the edge....just experiment.
