Terminal. Nice clean look and you dont have to worry about the wire not being long enough. If you cut the hole right for a terminal there won't be any leaks
if it is for me, I do a hole, and seal it with a knot in the wire and liquid nails, or resin with fine chopped fiberglass fibers. For a customer I usually give them a cup. Its what most people know as normal. Gives it aesthetic apeal too.
For customers or for a box I want to look nice, I use terminals. If it's my own and it's going to be receiving quite a bit of power, there's no point in having an unnecessary voltage drop.

i myself use the traditional terminals.
my latest box has a bi-amp speaker terminal so i can change the ohm impedence from the outside if i needed.
stenciled for fun
there's the cutout for the terminal
the terminals used.. just one.

Mr. Loki...if you can call his untrustworthy *** a ref....and i know there's at least one or 2 i forgot but o well.
Holes with wire thru is best, but you must make the hole tight around the wire. Post would be my second choice.
