I have 3 JL12W3v2's sealed that sounds great. Most peeps I know that have JL's have them in sealed enclosures. I guess it all comes down to what you are looking for. JL is more of an SQ sub, but still has very adequate SPL. I haven't metered mine yet, but could almost guarantee they are in the mid 140's.
