Whats the proper way to install comps in the doors. Just throw the mids in free air or seal them off some how?

either way, though to do it right, you should use a solid sheet of sound deadener to seal off all the holes in the door, and then make sure the speaker basket seals to the back of the door panel so no midbass is lost between the door and the door panel. These 2 steps will greatly help midbass.

As for sealed vs. free-air, that depends on what the driver is better suited for.
