Bondo resin - good enough?

Hey guys,

I'm sure this was asked before. I ran a search but it ain't easy trying to find info on Bondo Resin in a fiberglassing threat....

So was wondering if any1 had experience with it? It appears my local HD has some in stock, will save on shipping and stuff.

Just as good as any other brand I have used. Measuring the right amount of MEKP is a PITA vs. that of what you get with U.S.Compositses, but the end cure is equally as good.

Bondo resin is a polyester resin. Works very well, I use it when I need something quick. The price is also reflecting the petroleum prices rising.

As of present, FG material costs in general have gone through the roof.

that has like maybe 5% reasoning towards higher prices......thank the oil prices going up, thats the reason resin goes up.

bondo is a good brand just expensive compared to others. I get my resin from a local boat supply shop for alot less.

Being that ur in Miami, i'm sure the local boat supplies are both close and frequent.

I'm currently in MD/DC - like i've called all surronding boat suppliers withint 30min drive, and they don't have any at all.

Soooo.....what ya say? Lets work something out man.
