A ported box (not bandpass, slot ports or aero's) will give you the most output, and a low tune will get you the deep notes you want.
A proper sealed enclosure will be able to play the lows as well, but you will lose a lot of output from it.
And a bandpass enclosure will sound like garbage, unless properly designed, which is just too much work IMO. An ordinary slot vented enclosure can have just as much output as a bandpass, and will be much easier to construct.

Id say ported what the RMS on them? How much are you given them?
I personally prefer ported in almost all applications.

I have 2 Kicker CVR 10's 150w RMS 600w Max....running on a 1000w 500x2 amp..
I have ran many styles of boxs and so far I actualy like the sound of a good sealed box, it will get very low and hit nice and tight.
With the ported sometimes it just didnt sound right on some songs or I heard port noise many little things, the sealed is not as loud but to me it personaly sounds good and still gets loud and low.
I thought the 10" CVRs had 300 rmsOriginally Posted by Danzavier

Just looked it up...they do 300rms and 600 max.

ok it was just off the top of my head..
with the kickers i would go ported... subs on top, port firing back toward the gate (i have an s-10 blazer myself)
