I get mine from a boat supply place around here. by fiberglass you mean the actual glass mat or polyester resin? If you mean mat I use standard chopped mat under 6oz (I am using 1oz ATM but might get 3oz next)
i use 3/4 oz chop strand matt and boat yard resin from us composites.
i get 90 yards x 6 inches for 76 bucks.![]()
and resin is 78 bucks per 5 gallons, and no shipping cause they are around the corner from me here in west palm![]()

us composites is good. I get mine from Fiberglass Hawaii, as it is just down the road from here. They have really good prices. I use mostly fabric rather then chop mat. However I do use alot of chop mat. it seems to cling better when you are making your initial shell. Like what you are talking about when making enclosures for the corners of trunks or spare tire wells. THe fabric is much much stronger.

UScomposits it is for me. General purpose polyester resin.... $110 shipped to me.
The bitter after-taste of a poor quality job will last far longer than
the sweetness of that cheap price!
How do you do that?Originally Posted by mikescanlon
