Well for products, there are many brands that make sandpaper, bondo, paint, primer. Just use w/e you want. And for how to do it/ how many coats of paint/primer, ruckus pretty much said it.

well hes says :" Main coats ".....how many does the plural in coats refer to?
However many it takes to be fully covered and looking good would be my guess.

if any one got a tutorial...plz share
There are no tutorials on it located on these forums, just search the hell out of Google, only thing I could suggest. Try to PM ruckus maybe, and see if he will elaborate more on that. Ask him if he has any pics of what he has made, he might have some of the process...
ok
Bondo: use a premium bondo like rage gold or bondo ultimate this will make it easier to work with.
Primer: a filling primer (if you have a spray gun which I recommend use primer from an automotive paint company
Paint: use Automotive (spray gun) , or an emamel based spray paint (laquer will give you more of a shine but it is harder to work with)
Wax: turtle wax or similar. I use mothers show car polish myself.
layers: I like using 2 coats primer, 4-8 coats of paint, and 3 coats of sealer. this helps prevent chipping and or scratching. It is a little costly but noone said doing it right was cheap and if your keeping it or selling it the quality is on your name.
I have not done a tutorial I have just used this style for about 5 years. I used it on making custom computer cases before everyone started selling them. and use them on audio projects and home projects like tv stand and stuff.
but really giving a tutorial on waxing is ridiculous if you ever waxed a car then you know how to wax. as for painint no matter how many tutorials you see you only get good by doing it. anyone that has never painted before will get runs, you learn my doing when it comes to painting.

Try my sig. It may or may not help you.
The bitter after-taste of a poor quality job will last far longer than
the sweetness of that cheap price!
you dont clearcoat or wax the box? just buff? how does it hold up to banging into it? wouldnt it would be easy to chip up like that?Originally Posted by dbornotdb
