well i had to send one of my 6.5's in to RE so i decided it would be a perfect time to mess w/ these. i had a couple of gouges where the screw driver had hit it. i also added about a 2" hole in the back of each one. i haven't got to here both of them together but from what i can tell, the one 6.5 has as much midbass as the both of them together...

Looks like you just threw a pod onto the floor.

Could have been built into the actually kick panels to look factory, or at least part of the vehicle.

x2, take off plastic kick, build off it, and pop it back in to place. but its cool.

lol try making you own kick like i did and am doing (older s-10 didnt have kicks from the factory lol) and make it hold snug with no visable screws. the bottoms are perfect just nothing to "catch" the top by the dash. ill probably just end up counter sinking a screw and putting a cap on it

i am actually in the process of building new ones...that are attached to the factory kicks. i thought everyone liked to see pics! i was more or less wanting to know everyones opinion between the blue and yellow. blue matches the carpet. yellow matches the stripes on my car...and in the future when i get all the bodywork done i'm gonna paint it yellow, then they'll match the car

you're an *** man. that glass job is quality. a lot of people dont like risking their factory panelling. that glass job took a lot of work and skill, especially the paint and prep process.

thank you. i really appreciate it and no on that project i wasn't gonna risk my panels, and to be honest i didn't know how.(at the time) that was my first attempt at glass. now that i've got a couple under my belt i'ma try my hand at something a little better.

its easier building off the kick than you think by far anyhow. i can turn out a pretty good set carpeted (tweeded) in under 4 hours. painted though would be a different story lol

i had some monsters for my 8's that actually we had to trim the brake pedal to get it to push in all the way. my tempo (5 speed) had pretty large kicks as well (probably closer than his from what i can tell) my take on it is if you drive with your feet that unprepared to shift or stop and/or are that uncorodinated you probably shouldnt be driving anyway.

i've had these in my car for a good 6 months. never got in the way of the clutch before. there is room for my foot to fit between the pedal and the kick. and the next ones will have grills. i made these origionally for my cdt coax's...that didn't have grills.
i didn't account for the grills being almost 1" bigger
