what freq. to tune box to?

ok i have a few questions. my sub only has a sealed box volume and does not tell me the ported volume. the sealed is 1.25 cubic feet^3 so would 1.75 or 2.0Cubicfeet^3 work? the sub has a responce rate of 20 to 100 hertz how would i find out what to turn the box to? i listen to mostly rock and heavy metal and i have heard the type of music can make a difference on what you want to turn it to. well thanks for all your help.

    Rear speakers - Sony 4-way 6X9's
    Front speakers - Stock crap
    Subs - 2 lighting audio 12.P3.4
    Low Amps - 2 Vr3 300.1 mono sub amps
I know it's all crap but it still rattles my truck pretty good and messes with my head!

If it is those lightnings subs in your sig then yes 1.75 to 2.5 each is a good volume. And tunning is up to you. 35hz is the ideal average tunning for most speaker boxes.

    Sez you

If you're mostly listening to rock or heavy metal, 28-30Hz would do nicely.

If I didn't listen to rap at all I'd go sealed...

Two LAP3.4's at least 30 square inches of port area. Say a 3.25 cubic foot box tuned to 32hz.

With a Qts of 0.648 sealed would be a better choice IMO,
