New Box, Need Help on Port

Okay... well my other box failed to fit in my trunk. Time to try again. This time I'm gonna make it a little smaller on certain dimensions, and build part of it inside my trunk. I'll have to fire it up, but thats okay, in my car I think it may actually be louder like that. New dimensions are going to be H-12.75", W-37", D-21". About 4.2 cuft before port wall and sub displacement.

I still don't really understand the whole thing of deciding how big to make the port. I would like for it to go the width of the box, for ease. So the port will be (35.5" long, X" wide)<--Opening and Y" long

Some1 plz fill in X and Y for more SPL oriented SQL me and maybe I'll send you a present via paypal Some1 that knows what they are doing though plz.
