These batteries are solid and have been around the audio industry for awhile, BUT, have been in the solar power world, UPS systems, and things of that nature for even longer. The thing is, these batteries along with the Powerware batteries, were specifically designed to take a ton of 100% discharges and be known to recharge and be good as new. Its all in teh technology, engineering, and maintaining of these bateries that make them so functional in the car audiuo 12 volt world. you would be surprized at the amount of life you can get out of a 55ah battery, if you treat it the right way. Ive seen people buy 3 or 4 year old batteries, and get 5-7 years of life out of them. Just by taking care of them. ANd when i say take care of them , i dont mean babying them. I just mean, when its a little low, throw a medium charge on it and top it off. Dont let it run down and just sit. Tka ecare of it and you will be amazed
