2:00pm - 4:00pm for registration, 4:00pm - 6:00pm for judging. Two classes, for best in show, and SPL on music. Measuring 4" from the dash, 2" from the pillar, off the windshield. Meter is an AC SA-3055, with an AC SPL-190 mic. We are an Audio Control dealer, so corporate wouldn't be too keen on us running a TL. Last time, our winner was in the mid 145s (145.4 IIRC, sponsored by JBL), so I'd like to see a better showing this time around.
$3 to pre-register, $5 at the show, e-mail lecommsales@cartoys.com to pre-register. All registration fees are due at the time of arrival, so there's no need to pre-pay. This is our second show, so we haven't reached a point where we open the classes up how we'd like, but it's coming. We'll also have free food and drinks, as well as raffles for whatever we can gather together from around the store, so we're not sure what exactly will be raffled off at this point. I know this isn't as enthusiast-grade as you guys are probably used to, but we're just getting started with this kind of stuff, so it WILL get much bigger.

Does the vehicle have to be completely sealed up, or can there be a door open? And did I understand it correctly that everyone is in the same class for SPL?

If enough people show up, we'll open up more classes on the spot. All we can do now, though, is assume we'll only have enough for one class. The next car show should have 2 SPL classes, and the next will have 3, so on and so forth. Remember, I'm doing all of this under the corporate umbrella, with a $300 budget, and a few favors from vendors.
Also, if any of you guys organize any kind of SPL/SQ events, or car shows, let me know. I'll get some fliers up around the store to help the cause. We might even be able to set up a booth and get ahold of some give-aways.
well, if curtis is gonna be there then ill be there. definately down for hooters and beer afterwards![]()

I have to work all day tomorrow, hopefully I can make the tail end of it on my way home...I look forward to seeing some TBP regulars there.Since it's only $5 to enter, I might see what my puny dual 10" 500 watt setup tuned to 28hz does.

The show is Sunday, March 22, not tomorrow.

I especially need you here, RyanM. You're hitting 150+ with Sundown, which is my amp of choice, and the boss man has NO faith in it. "Why would you buy that eBay crap?".
He's kidding, but he wants me to go JL HD-series.... Come show this fool what's up with the SA.
This Sunday!
If you pre-register, it'll only cost you $3, the day of show. E-mail me your name and vehicle info @ lecommsales@cartoys.com, and I'll get you on the list.
Bump....
There's got to be more DFW people than this.
Seriously, it's $5 to get your system measured, and get some free food.
Just want to clarify for everyone:
It's is absolutely free to come out and see the show. The registration fees are ONLY, if you want to be eligible for prizes.
I wonder if i would place with my lil single 8" woofa? lolol
