I cant find a throttle body / kit any where for under 500 with a 1.5year warranty.

Woah woah woah woah.......you're telling me that it's going to cost you $700 to fix a TB? What's wrong with yours? A TB is mechanical and has VERY little stress on it. I really don't see how something like that could break....it just sounds odd.

I looked up the TB for his car (at least I think it was 02 Golt GTI VR6) and they are ridiculously expensive for some odd reason. Nonetheless a new TB from autozone should not be expensive and it should not be hard to replace yourself.

Its an 03 jetta but yeah its retardedly expensive. I read something about built in sensors and some other stuff about the Volkswagen throttle bodies. Gotta love the germans.

I bet he has Drive By Wire throttle. The first couple portion of the throttle is opened electronically and then the remaining part is controlled by the physical cable. I believe that's how it works. I have the same **** thing on the IS300.

I just happen to have a CRX, 2 40.1's and 2 DD 9917's F/S. Asking $5200. All you would need to do is build a box and throw a battery(or two) on it. You can have the all the Kicker Hyperflex that came out and what I've picked up for it also.

I'm old, I also have financial responsibilities that will most likely keep me out of competing this year. There's always finals right around the election which means NO finals for me again anyway.
