Extra Layers of Security
Two questions... is there a good way to add a (cable?) lock to the hood? There's a 3 second delay from when the door is opened until the alarm is triggered, and it wouldn't take long for a thief to pop the hood and disconnect the battery or cut the power to the siren. Also, my car has a cable trunk release with an after market alarm. I want to add a trunk switch to the alarm. What's the best way to do this? I was thinking just wire in a relay to the trunk light.
Are there any other tricks to keep my stuff safe?

Re: Extra Layers of Security
you could just relocate your current hood cable under the seat or something no?

Re: Extra Layers of Security
yeah, I could, but I would probably have to find a longer cable.
I'd rather just put a lock on the hood.
Any suggestions on setting up a trunk trigger?
