Any AutoPage dealers can help with remote start install?

I bought a NIB AutoPage RST2050KE Two Channel Remote Car Starter with Keyless Entry in the Classifieds the other day, and I was wondering if any dealers here might be able to help me figure out how to install it in my wife's 2002 Ford Taurus?

I'd like to tie it in with the factory keyless entry and do away with the single factory remote we've got.

    Any help here, guys?

Honestly I'm an installer... and if you don't even know where to begin with the install you should take it to a shop and have it professionally done. Remote starts are one thing you can **** stuff up real easy. Your also going to need a 556u and a second key for hte remote start to function.

Or u can buy a relay aad use some speaker wire instead of the 556u. In all my experiences this has worked a lot better.

Well crap... I REALLY need another key? Goddang it, that's gonna cost me another $70. And paying someone to install it... prolly another $100-150.

This sure isn't sounding worth the 'good deal' I got on it.

    ****.

but they are flakey at best. It sounds like you have experience with them, which is suprising you have never experienced that.. And maybe the op can't buy stuff at cost.

one relay is hardly a hassle also, maybe the op should consider getting a professional instal if he considers a single relay a hassle in a remote start.

I work in michigan, our remote start seasons are get redic. We do a **** ton and all we basically use are U's and L's... Barely have any problems with either, getting the right position for the ring is about the only problem we ever get.

    50% failure rate,

I actually prefer the DEI units on this one.

I never said a relay is a hassle, so I'm not sure where that came from. I've been installing my own car audio for years, used relays and switches, etc. Bottom line in car audio is that it's not the slightest bit difficult to get things wired right, or even troubleshoot most things, it just takes patience and the right tools, most of the time.

However, I've never done an alarm or remote start, so I was hoping for some help. I thought that companies like this had a computer program that printed out a sheet for installers that said things like, "Tap pink ignition wire with blue harness wire," etc., printed from a database built off wiring diagrams for individual models. I had hoped someone might toss me a bone and be willing to send me just such a printout, along with maybe some light tech support on the basics I can't figure out on my own. If not, then that's cool, I'll just have to wait to get this done until I can afford it, which will likely be quite a while.

I figured it can't be that friggin' hard, considering some of the toothless wonders I've seen doing this stuff "professionally". I'm not a moron, and after making it through 7 years as a paramedic, 4 years of college, and 4 years of medical school, I do have faith in my intellectual capability to figure things out or at least follow directions.
