Epic 150

anyone have opinions/info on this. id like to know how exactly it works and what does it hook up to?

it a spl meter, i heard it pretty accurate, but it only measure up to 150db. i heard it pretty easy to install. i think it hook up to your deck and amp

So you plug it into the back, then hang it somewhere in your cabin to measure SPL?

the way i have mine hooked up is from the back of the radio.. power wire, remote wire and ground and illumination.. which ever hardly ever hook this up... and i have it mounted on top of my dashboard for now.. wanting to build a custom fiberglass console, for my dvd player and the epic 150. but that about it..

that sounds pretty tight having that little jobber telling you what you're hitting during regular listening.

does it like change everytime the bass hits? or do u have to like press a button and it only measures it from time A to time B? Also, with the voltage is that constantly updated? Like can i watch it drop when the bass hits to see if I have voltage problems? I think in the nex t week im getitng one, like brand new for $150, not bad...

yeah, the bass is constantly changin..depends on the frequncy and its always workin.. not just for a certain time.. and voltage yes, u can watch it drop w/ the bass hit

what have you hit on your epic? what the highest you seen it at? or any1 w/ the epic 150

Is it just a meter or will it improve bass frequencyes or something like that???

The Epic will read over 150...but the more over you go, the more unnacurate it becomes...and no, I didnt find that out by reading
