I got an idea instead of buying an expensive alternator just buy another battery stick it in your car and you should be fine, atleast i believe so.... is that even possible?

wrong....the xtra batt. is for when your car is off...thats the only advantage you'd get from it.....while your car is on a larger alt is the only way to truely able to get the extra power....

so let me get this straight the only reason you would get a battery is so you can just run straight audio and stuff of that nature? It's worth it cause to me i'd rather have a car driving then being stuck on the side of the road cause you don't have enough juice to go anywhere.

the alternator is what keeps your battery charged and basically distributes power to all your electrical system. With this in mind, you could get a new alternator that puts out more amps with the same battery...this way your electrical system will run stronger because there is more current running to it.

agreed....basicly if your alt isnt up to par...it wont matter how many batts. you have....it may take a little longer for them to go dead but they will go dead over time....and will also put a larger strain on your alternator....good luck
