Yea, biodiesel is cool stuff...very efficient. I think a popular name in science or automobiles (I can't remember who...maybe Daimler) predicted that we'd use a peanut-oil based fuel in the future...and his prediction isn't too far off.

Yeah, a few months or so ago I was watching "Trucks" on TV. Stacey had a biodiesel setup showing it off on there. It looked pretty easy, a hell of a lot cheaper too!

Biodiesel is the way to go.

Initial setup costs of around $200-300, but over the course of a year you'll more than make it back...will run in any, unmodified diesel engine with no supposed loss of HP.

If you use your car for nothing but commuting back and forth, an electric conversion might be an option. However, they're heavy, expensive initially, and have a pathetic range (most get 50-75 miles on a single charge).

That's like taking a professionally installed system with W7's from an authorized shop, and saying that's how much car audio systems cost

Putting it together yourself, you can do it for $300 or under.

yyyyyyyyep, as I predicted last night in this thread...gas went up about 15-20 cents in 1 day!!!!. Luckily I went and filled up last night, assuming this was going to happen.

Shure the bio diesel kid that was on TRUCKS costs $4000 but that doesnt mean you cant make a profit off of it

My dad is a fireman and the city told them that the pipe that brings our gas in from the gulf is closed and that they think we have a 48 hour supply left. And they have no clue when the pipes will open back up. 4 stations have already ran out....

yea they can only run emergency calls....so instead of going to all medical calls, fires and all car crashes, they can only go to entrapments and fires
