i think a screw went through my gas tank slightly from when i mounted my last box. now my gas cap light is on (which i read can turn on from gas vapors). gas cap is closed. is there a way to repair this small hole effectively?

jb weld should work if it is a small hole.
^^^ Even if it was a bigger hole you could make a patch panel from sheet metal & JB weld it since I'm assuming this is on the TOP of the fuel tank... Be sure to clean the fvck outta the surface area before applying JB or any other adhesive so it will actually bond and last ;)
Propane torch, solder.
epoxy and a screw?
bubble gum and a penny
but what if i was an idiot and actually grabbed my torch and solter and died?
hrm are you sure hole in gas tank?
can be evap code from computer which can be caused by a number of things that allow air into the gas system, including vapor seal on gascap being cracked or out of place, small hole in the hoses.
any auto parts store will have a "gas tank repair kit", basically a 2 part clay type epoxy. Similar to JBweld...
