    Replacing alternator

How hard is it to replace an alternator? I have a 08 Civic LX and will be getting my H/O alt tomorrow.

    Re: Replacing alternator

depends on location of the alternator but usually not hard at all, remove the belt, remove 2-3 bolts / remove wires to alternator first tho before hand.. also disconnect battery first

    Re: Replacing alternator

Ok, I had heard it wasn't too hard and it doesn't look too difficult to get to everything.

    Re: Replacing alternator

Yeah... just disconnecting, battery first + & - , remove cables from alternator, remove belt, remove all bolts and bracket if there is one on it (depends on where its located to make it easier to mount back up) repeat process in reverse to install new alternator
