    engine ?

i have a 66 galaxie with a 390 4 barrel. im rebuildin it with all new stock parts except for performance heads, cam and lifters, intake, carb, and headers. im going to add a 50-100 hp shot of nos. Will i have to upgrade the fuel sysytem or is it not that big of a deal since its a low hp shot?

i think for a carbed car, a wet shot is always recommended.

there's obviously no electronic fuel management, or air meter, and the carb obviously has no provision to know that the air's more rich with oxygen, so even with a small shot, you run the risk of running VERY lean without a wet shot.

the wet shot's basically just an electronic fuel injector that sprays directly into your manifold and adds the necessary fuel.

modern cars can get away with a dry shot as long as it's upwind of the MAF cause the ECU will automatically sense the added oxygen, and increase fueling to compensate.

actually, you'd have to find all this out, but you may even need to run a secondary fuel pump to run a wetshot on the carbed car, since a carb runs on much lower fuel line pressure than a fuel injected car.

i was just gonna get 1 of the plate kits that shoot it directly from the carb.

wanted a direct port kit cuz i like the way it looks on the engine but there mostly for all purpose drag cars.

NOS doesn't work well with a mechanical fuel pump. You'll at least need to convert to a performance-style electric fuel pump, and fuel-pressure regulators.
