IMO it depends on how much it costs and how much HP gain you get out of it

You also have to factor in the alternator. It has to be able to power your electrical system, stereo system, neons, and what not. That would provide just a lil more strain on the alt.Originally Posted by blaze06us

Yea you lose HP there. Do some other mods first.
Like a performance exhaust, rather than a glass pack. Headers, cut off the cats.

waste of $, waste of time and lastely waste of space on here. if you're ranger is a 4 banger i wouldn't bother wasting any $ for performance, if it's a v6 i wouldn't waste any money on the engine i'd do a 4.6V8 swap and find room for it.
2006 Bright Island Blue 6s: stock 6 disc in dash, Hertz Hi-Energy 6.5" comps, MB Quart Ref 12", eclipse 5-channel sub amp.
Car mods: Lowered on Mazdaspeed springs with Koni Yellow shocks, Racing beat front/rear sway bars with AWR end links, LED turn signals, tail lights, front side markers, 18" ADR Cypher rims, 55w HID's in low beam and fogs, 5% tint all the way around. No go fast mods yet...tuning and Mazda6 don't go well together.
