    Re: New Vehicle Ideas

dont get a prelude...i just got one and it takes premium and ive yet to get over 270 miles in one tank....
on the other hand, it only took $25 to fill my saturn and that would get 280 miles a tank all day long. get a saturn, SOHC if you really want to sip gas.

jmac you forgot the Mazda 3 or 6. My dad get's a solid 24-28mpg in his mazda 6 and that's doing more city than highway.

edit: the fusion doesn't get what it's rated at. i drove one for 6 days as a rental car while my girls was getting her interior replaced(water damage due to an accident) and i averaged 23mpg doing about 70% highway.

2006 Bright Island Blue 6s: stock 6 disc in dash, Hertz Hi-Energy 6.5" comps, MB Quart Ref 12", eclipse 5-channel sub amp.

Car mods: Lowered on Mazdaspeed springs with Koni Yellow shocks, Racing beat front/rear sway bars with AWR end links, LED turn signals, tail lights, front side markers, 18" ADR Cypher rims, 55w HID's in low beam and fogs, 5% tint all the way around. No go fast mods yet...tuning and Mazda6 don't go well together .

Oh and Jmac was stating how all the American cars he would be interested have close ties to Japanese or European automakers.

    Re: New Vehicle Ideas

I would check into what I just bought not to long ago. It gets around 24city and 32 highway. So it says anyway. I usually average around 280-330 miles on a tank full of gas. I have the 2006 Ford Focus ST package. You get some zip and a pretty nice style package compared to regular focus'. I would check into them. You can get them fully loaded for around 18'000. Plus its American, lol! Even though the eng. is built from Mazda.
