Not exactly audio but need help w/ motor

I have a few questions for anyone who actually knows anything about motors. Mainly I need addresses to some people who have a clue about how to build 350's and suspension for 350's. As of right now i have a 1987 camaro with stock suspension a 350 motor and turbo 350 trani. I'm pushing around 400 horses and need info on.
    1. what is my next step for upgrading my car motor wise
    2. what is my next step for upgrading my car suspension wise

I'll fill in the details when i get the addresses.

    thanks,

    Gentry

Well, what rear end do you have in it? If it's one of the older 8- or 10- bolt ones, either get a Chevy 12-bolt or a Ford 9" (better). A good suggestion would be to hit up www.camaroz28.com for better advice, though

As of right now i have the stock heads that came with the motor, they have been rebuilt mainly stock with Z28 springs and the pressed studs were removed and replaced with screw in ones. For the crank I have a 383 stroke. Pistons are hypernuetic and are 9.5 w/ iron 10.1 w/ aluminum heads. My came is a comp cam with .485 lift. I also have a Mallory distributor with a MSD coil. I have the 650 double pump holley carb. Eldebroc Victor Jr. high rise single plane intake. And a gear drive that is the quiet version.
My trani is a 350 turbo with B&M shift kit, and a B&M 2200RPM stall. For the rearend i replaced stock with a posi and 373's but i'm going to replace these with 355's this summer because all that i do right now is smoke tires. My tives are the outlawII series w/ 245/50/16 tread.
My problem is that i don't know if I should keep the intake and cam and match heads and a carb to that or if i should keep the cam and match the intake, heads, and carb to it or if i should just replace all of them.
As for suspension i want to keep with the stock setup and just replace everything w/ performance and subframe connectors, but what should i get??

Wow, you've done a lot to that motor. The only thing i could think of is maybe port and polish the heads. What about your exhaust? Maybe some headers (which by the sounds of things you already have) and a free-flowing exhaust. For suspension look into Energy Suspensiom, Hotchkis (spelling?), Competition Engineering, etc. Look into some sub-frame connectors, traction bars, and some sway bars. You could also probably get a lot of lightweight suspension components (control arms, A-arms, etc.).

ricerdude, when you put a certain crank into 350's (or any engine i guess) it changes your bore and stroke....... so his 350 is still a 350 block, but has the stroke of a 383...

500hp I doubt that even if it is stroked he has to open up those heads get some Dart heads or something to let it breath more. Heads are everything go with those as a upgrade. For suspension KYB makes some shocks with 5 settings so you can still ride nice but get that front end to come up when you need it

Well a 383 is a 350 with a 400 crank which has a 3.75" stroke vs the 3.5" stroke of the 350 crank , Then you grind the journels on the 400 crank to the 350 journel specs 2.450 if I remember correctly becuase the 400 crank has 2.650 journels , Block has to be notched so the rods will clear and the rod bolts need to be shaved to clear the block with the bigger stroke , SO I have no idea what you are talking about when you say you have a 383 stroker crank , If you can tell us what you really have maybe we can help !

Well, the machineist (spelling?) is who i bought the crank from. He said that it was a 383 crank, he did have to notch the block a bit. He said that everything added up it's something like a 401 small block, because i forgot to mention that i had it bored .30 over.
As far as the exhause i have the most expensive single in dual out muffler that butlers had on stock and ran 1&5/8" hooker headers that collected to 2&1/2" pipe that y's to a single 3" pipe that runs down the passenger side of the car and to the muffler that runs dual 2&1/2" pipes straight out the back of the car. This system minus the headers costed me $400
I know that my motor isn't pushing any more than 400 because of my carb, but once i finish up this summer i want to have around 500 and i'm going to prove it wil 1/4 passes at the track and a dyno test.
I have narrowed it down to a few things that i want to do to the motor and they do include replacing the heads obviously but my question still remains, do i keep the single plane high rise Victor Jr. intake or switch to a dual plane high rise Performer Air gap? Do I keep the cam or get a bigger one? Do i just replace the heads and carb?? If so what kind of heads will match to the cam that i have? Or does it even matter if you match the cam to the heads as long as the cam doesn't have too much of a lift for the heads.
