You might have to get your current alternator rebuilt/rewound, unless you find somebody who makes HO alternators for your car.

yeah i knew that, but the stock alt. is 55a, i need anywhere between 180-200a.

so, what is it out of?
how much?
how old?

My parents and I have a 98 Metro LSI
I went to mr. alternator, and he told me for 255, hed build me a 165a alternator that will fit for the same place.
