    Re: Bigrick31's Sick New Project

It is even in more pieces than those pics.
The entire heating and cooling has been stripped from the dash, firewall shaved and I have stripped the rest of the deadening material out of it.

The bitter after-taste of a poor quality job will last far longer than
the sweetness of that cheap price!

    Re: Bigrick31's Sick New Project

Ok so this weeks progress first up Relocating the battery to the back (well the wiring atleast) and upgrading wiring to 2/0

I picked up some rubber tubing to protect the wire from heat and objects since its run under the truck. the tubing normally costs about $1.45 a ft but i got a hook up from a friend so i only had to pay $.40 for it

next i masked off areas of the truck so i could primer them with rustolium primer to prevent further rust. luckly all the rust on the truck was jsut surface rust and could be sanded off.

heres the tool i used for sanding 40 grit grinder disk

    me ready for painting

cab primered white. i chose white because thisy way i can make sure i dont miss any spots and when im ready to deaden it it will be easy to identify which areas need deadening rather than the floor being black.

    font tub primered

rear of cab sanded down to metal ready for primer

and hit with a coat of primer

    im already thinking about it!

skeptikal This truck is going to be f*cking sick... Rick how much do you estimate this project costing?
    well so far

    $600
    $200 for valves
    $130 for radiator
    $150 in misc parts/tools

so so far its about $1080 i got some wheels hopefully for about $150 shipped and i need to spend another $200 on parts untill it will be fully drivable $1380 for a fully functioning bagged and bodydroped truck. however ill be putting a lot more into it with stereo equipment changing out the rear end and possibly suspension. paint job and so on. im not sure the cost of the finished product Mainly because i dont even know what finished will be for this truck. my ideas keep changing/evolving all the time so its really hard to say. im trying to just take it step by step and think out my next move before i do it so i can get teh trucks prioritys straight.
