Anyone ever try this on their tires?
Meguiars NXT Generation Insane Shine Tire Coating
http://www.autogeek.net/menxtgeinsht.html
I'm tried it for the first time earlier this evening, just before it got dark. It looks pretty good so far (very shiny) and I'm going to let it dry over night. I'll have to tell you about spin-off and what not tomorrow after I drive around a little bit...
Re: Anyone ever try this on their tires?
Wrong forum. If Jmac is nice, he'll move it to Interior and Exterior enhancements. Otherwise..
:threadloc
Re: Anyone ever try this on their tires?
black magic is the best thing for tires.......that spray crap gets all over the rims and is a ***** to clean up and could eventuatly fock up your rims.
Re: Anyone ever try this on their tires?
I second black magic. Use a GOOD QUALITY paintbrush to apply it (I use Purdy brand) and your tires will look like WHOA!
Re: Anyone ever try this on their tires?
I use Turtle Wax nano tire foam. It doesn't make them gleam, it makes them look new which is what I like. Water still beads up on them after 2 months.

By new, are you talking just really black. I don't mind that too much, but I really like a good shine...
Re: Anyone ever try this on their tires?
Yep, makes them look black and natural. I don't like the shiny stuff, looks gaudy. I'd rather detail a car to make it look brand new instead of gaudy.

Used it SEVERAL times, MAJOR spin-off!!! I had to clean it off by waxing my truck on some occasions
Re: Anyone ever try this on their tires?
The LAST thing you want to do is to get tire shine on your paint. It is an oil which can stay on the paint with regular washing. Polish it, don't wax it. Wax will only cover it up. Notice: wax is an oil, why does it stay on the paint for so long? ;)

Forgot how **** you are about calling wax, "wax" and polish, "polish"! :D
I used Meguires Cleaner "Wax" to remove it. :naughty:

Good to know. I never Noticed it, but I also wipe the tires down after it sets on them for a little while.

Tried that and even with a wet rag. Still spun off. Really noticible on dark color paint...
