Anyone think this is bad?

Chevy Lumina ... 1995... if you look at the back windsheild... RIGHT bellow it.. is what I call the back shelf... Now that thing BOUNCES like CRAZY.. and causes alot of un wanted "Shacking" sound... now if I was to cut 2 ROUND holes... on either side... air could flow through stoping that back self from bounceing.. because all the air would be flowing good...... now Is this a bad idea...? Is there a chance If I cut it.. I may cut a wire....?

you can do it, I know someone that had the same problem. Just really check were the wires are below it and cut slow. If you cut one you can crimp it back :0) just pull the carpet off first then do the work and put it back on

* remove the rear armrest if you think it's the air

* tighten it up / deaden it if it's the vibration.

I believe what causes this is the lack of sheet metal they used in those yrs, they tend to flex and give that sound. I will prob be coming to your thing on sat so I can check with you then if you want,
