    SPL Tips

    Maybe we can make this a thread on tips to how to gain SPL on your system, post any tips you can think of here.




    Headunit: Pioneer AVH-P2300DVD
    Subwoofers: (2)15" RE Audio XXX(05 model)
    Sub Box: Undecided..
    Sub Amp: Crescendo bc3500
    Speakers: 6.5" RE Audio XXX Components(soon to be 2nd pair in kick panels)
    Speaker Amp: Hifonics HFi100.2(for now...)
    Wiring: 2 runs of 1/0 throughout, XS Power battery in trunk,big 3 done, 270a alt, 1/0 accesories throughout
    Deadner: 75sq ft AT 60mil, 20sq ft Alphadamp
    Security: Crimestopper 2way alarm/remote start

    Ahh whatever I'll get the thread going. Play with box positions, angles, move it all around until you find the single loudest configuration in your vehicle. Next play with seat configurations in the vehicle, trial and error, maximize your SPL and remember how everything goes. Write things down as you discover them. Move sun visors, arm rests, open the glove box, etc. Small things that can make a big difference. Duct tape around the surrounds of your subs and see if it helps. Use PVC pipe to round off edges and see if that does anything for you. Try bracing doors, trunk, roof, windows, anything you can try to see what gains you, and write these things down so you know exactly what does what. Little things can go a long way.
