planning on competing next year

as of yet, i've never competed...but i plan on competing next year...hopefully in the spring

my question is, what class should i aim for, i want to be at the top end of the class....for obvious reasons....should i run my 2 9.1's to a single 15xxx(i already have it)

or should i grab 2 more 9.1 and strap all 4 to a 18mt

i guess my main question is which class will i be able to have the greatest advantage in????

x2...Look around and see who frequents your area the most. Your trying to collect point, so driving is a huge factor.
Dont just run out and buy equipment. All the sanctioning bodies have different classes.

if your plugging 4 amps to a single MT... you're looking at automatic extreme (unless the amps are strapped of course) class. QVC's are auto-Extreme IIRC, also, 4 amps means Street C @ minimum. This is all dBDrag of course.

True, honestly one eighteen is not the way to go in db drag. If you go street c...four 12's have the advantage, or in street A...two tens. peace

street b, 15" xxx, 2kw per coil, decent install... should be competitive a bit.

my advice (i didnt compete at all this year.. just farted around town), spend the next few months studying everything you can find regarding the subject; spend a couple months designing & making boxes, spend a few days doing fine adjustments, chase a few tenths, see where you stand at the open of the season, see if you wanna keep playing.

I didnt compete very heavily last year, i was sponsered through a local shop and they did most of the work... till i ran out of money for the sport. Now i've just spent this year studying up and planning for next year (see last paragraph^^). Took care of some financial issues last fall, got a better job, and a much more understanding gf.. LoL

yeah definitely dont count out 15"s in street b, I was neck and neck with "hammer" and his caravan, me 2 - 12"s him 1 15, both of us had lots o wattage... I only bested him by a few tenths....

To compete in SPL... you'll need new subs

What vehicle is this goin in? That decides your size/number of subs.

IMO MECA has the best setup... I'd design for that. Be prepared to drive to get to competitions though... but its always worth it . There were a few within 1.5 hours of you last season, next season there should hopefully be more.

2 nine.1's, one 15 or 2 12's (pretty much any sub.. that power puts you in the mid of the class)... you'd be in as4 for your first season, and s4 after that. Your gonna need at least a 50 to compete.

power yes... lol hell yes... but you definitely dont need a crx to compete

a fella whose user name I think is rawdoggj -- jason, he has a cirrus? I cant remember its a 4 door trunk car, he's goin to finals... how bout Eric Coultier, or Mike Stiers... no crx's there heck I had the score to go to finals, just not the points

I like dbdrag, seems like there are a good amount of shows around...
